Welcome to the blog! I’m a small-town Florida girl and Army wife relocated to the Seattle Suburbs, documenting love from one coast to the other. I live for a good PNW mountain breeze, sweat pants, and local eats. Let's be friends!
As a birth photographer, one of the first questions I’m often asked is if I have any kids. After responding with a “not yet,” it’s always followed how do you feel about it after being in a birth…do you still want kids? My answer is always…of course…more than ever!! I feel so honored to be able to witness such incredible experiences and the knowledge they have taught me is invaluable as a woman, friend, future-mother and photographer. The amazing moments that follow even the hardest labors only make the journey that much more incredible. If I could be just half as phenomenal and strong as the moms I photograph, I would be pretty darn impressed with myself. Just thinking about their perseverance and the love they have for their little ones gives me tingles down my spine.
At the beginning of this week, I got to be part of Angela’s team as she welcomed her first baby into the world at Providence St. Peter hospital in Olympia. She and Nathan kept the gender a surprise and opposing all of our guesses, welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world. Walker threw us all a curve ball and arrived larger than expected, eight pounds and eleven ounces! He was so happy to stretch out his toes with all the extra room the outside world offers. Sorry in advance guys, I’m going to overwhelm you with baby feet!
Angela and Nathan, the love between you was incredible before Walker arrived, I imagine it’s even stronger now. What an inspiration you two are! Thank you for choosing me to be your birth photographer and congratulations to you both. I hope you’re enjoying every second with him and I can’t wait to see how he continues to exceed all of our expectations. 😉
Baby Walker, welcome to the world. This is your birth story.
