3 Reasons Why You Should Elope in the Fall

Fall elopements hold a special place in my heart. While I love a good elopement any other time of the year, there’s something about a fall elopement that is so incredible. I think it’s the perfect combination of the colors, the light at sunset (which just hits differently!), the urge to cozy up… it’s all pure magic. And I LOVE capturing elopements in this kind of setting.

So if you’re planning your elopement for this fall or if you haven’t fully decided on when you want to do it, here are three reasons why you should elope in the fall in the Pacific Northwest!

1. There are Less Crowds When You Elope in the Fall

When October rolls around and fall becomes in full swing, the crowds in some of the busier locations tend to dissipate. Shoulder seasons are generally a great time to elope, especially if you have your sights set on a popular place like any of the National Parks. If your dream elopement is one of seclusion, intimacy, and privacy, eloping in the fall will give you a greater chance of having just that.

2. The Colors!

I mean, need I say more? Whether you’re looking for the colors of golden larches, orange maples, or red cherry trees… whatever you have in mind will be stunning. There’s something truly unique about eloping in the Fall with all the vibrant colors around you. It turns an already beautiful place into something extraordinary. And if you aim for slightly earlier in the season, you’re more likely to have nice weather and the beautiful colors – it’s the best of both worlds!

3. It’s the Perfect Time to Cozy Up

If your dream elopement looks a little something like a cabin in the woods, relaxing days by the fire, cups of hot coffee and cider, beautiful views… then what better time to plan your elopement than in the Fall? And if you want all of this with a bit of adventure too, Fall is a great time to get out and enjoy the colors by going on hikes and walks!
