No matter how you choose to get married, it should feel like the best day of your life. I say that often because it’s true. And not only should it be the best day, but it should also be a reflection of who you are as a couple and what you want to do rather than what you think you “should” do. I am so glad that these two did just that. Randi and Andy originally started planning for a very small wedding but soon realized it wasn’t for them and wanted something intimate with lots of exploring. They landed on an elopement at Mount Rainier National Park and I had the honor of documenting their day.
I knew when I read their inquiry that it was going to be a really special day. Randi told me that their love story is a little unconventional and they love it that way. I have to agree. These two could not be more perfect for each other. After all, they do have matching tattoos that they both got before they ever even met!
Randi and Andy traveled to the PNW from Houston and we could not have asked for better weather or a more beautiful August day at Mount Rainier. From start to finish, the day was pure magic. Randi and Andy took the time to really be present and enjoy the day. Their focus was on each other and creating memories together as husband and wife, and the details didn’t matter as much. So much so, we flipped a coin during their picnic to determine which hike to go on.
To be able to witness Randi and Andy commit to each other for the rest of their lives in this setting and with such intentionality on their parts was really special. It’s my goal to not only help you make sure you have the most memorable day but have photos to look back on as well. When you look at them, I want you to go back to that day and how you felt.
So Randi and Andy, thank you. Thank you for sharing your day and for your kind words. It was truly an honor to document your elopement at Mount Rainier National Park. Cheers to you two and a lifetime of exploring life together!
“These are so amazing we can’t even believe it. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us! We can’t get over all of these photos. You were such a highlight and an incredible part of our big day we seriously couldn’t have done it without you!!! ” – Randi + Andy
