If you are considering eloping rather than having a traditional wedding, you are likely wondering how to do it and what it will all look like for you. The beauty of it all is that there’s no exact formula across the board. Everyone does it a little differently, molding their day to be unique to them. That’s exactly how it should be and exactly what Erin and Ryland did for their Artist Point Elopement.
What I love most about these two is their love of adventure but even more than that, the way they go about it together. When I asked Erin and Ryland to tell meTraveling across the country together with 1 truck, a rooftop tent, all our stuff in storage, only 1 of us employed, only 1 of us had ever been to the state, knowing no one in the state, and no plan on where we were living BUT knowing it was all going to be okay because we were together and on our adventure!!”
I had the honor of witnessing that firsthand. For their elopement, they simply wanted to take on an adventure together, but not before being mindful of the people they love most. They wanted their parents and grandparents to be able to witness their elopement ceremony with the backdrop of their new state behind them. Their ceremony took place at Heather Meadows. Then, after a celebration with their family, they put on their hiking boots and we set off for Artist Point. The roads were closed, so we had quite the hike ahead of us. I think their family thought we were a little crazy, but they couldn’t wait and it was 100% worth it!
We could not have asked for a more beautiful day or stunning views. Congratulations Erin and Ryland. Cheers to a lifetime of adventures together!

I LOVE these images! Your edits are clean and colorful, and you really captured the day so beautifully 🙂 That bouquet is lush and gorgeous, and I love the shot of the couple changing their shoes. Despite the long hike, you timed sunset perfectly and had gorgeous alpenglow. The officiant is a pro for stepping out of frame for their kiss. I also like how you ended on a photo after they changed out of their wedding attire – nice work!

These are just absolutely incredible, if not for an elopement I feel completely inspired to travel here!
What a perfect day! I love that they included some close family and then had some time to explore themselves. Such a perfect compromise.
