The Couple: Marie + Jeremy

The Location: A breathtaking mountain top wedding at the Kachess Ridge Resort overlooking  near Snoqualmie, Washington.

When I first met Marie and Jeremy, I was so excited to be given the opportunity to photograph their gorgeous wedding in the mountains. Even though I run a photography business, it’s also my passion and my way of feeling like I’m leaving my client’s something special that they can treasure for years to come. When those clients have served our country just as Marie and Jeremy have, I have this extra bond to them that only other military service members and their families can really relate to. They automatically become more like family rather than clients. I loved being able to help Marie along the way with questions she had and hearing about how the wedding was coming along. As soon as she sent me a photo of her stunning dress, I was counting down the days!

As wedding photographers, we also really get an insight into the lives of our brides and grooms. We spend the majority of their wedding day side by side with them and it creates this bond that is incredibly unique. Jeremy was a completely different person when he was alone with his bride. The way he acted with her and the sweet glances and smiles passed between them could really melt any hopeless romantic’s heart per say. The love between these two was completely undeniable. There was also their sweet pup who Marie rescued during her tour in Afghanistan. She was definitely the “princess” of the day and needless to say, she was quite the star of our cameras as well. 😉

Kachess Ridge Resort is the perfect place to hold an intimate wedding. It was incredibly beautiful for a summertime wedding and I can only imagine how stunning it would be in the winter! These two were up for a little adventure so we drove down to Lake Kachess for some of their formal photos which really allowed them to relax and reflect on the fact that they just tied the knot! The Snoqualmie Pass area was a little busy on their sunny wedding day but with so many onlookers congratulating them on their marriage, it really made the adventure extra special! If I had gotten married in a state as beautiful as Washington, I definitely would have planned a mountain-top wedding.
