There’s something a little extra amazing about Washington’s Photography community. I’ve been connected with more photographers in the last few months than I have my entire life and so many of them are so welcoming and helpful. I was introduced to Rebecca through the Rising Tide Society and found out that she coordinates styled shoots in the area. I jumped at the opportunity to participate in one so that I could connect with other fellow creatives, venture to a new wedding venue and of course just have some photography fun!

The styled shoot took place at Windmill Gardens in Sumner, Washington. They have gardens, a wedding space and are floral growers which makes it easy on your wedding day!  Their beautiful landscape provides a lush environment with blooms like I’ve never seen before. It really is quite breathtaking and there are so many photo opportunities at their property! The venue accommodates up to 300 people if you’d like to tie the knot there, but I feel like it would be the PERFECT location for a quaint or intimate wedding as well. There’s so many colors and textures, you would barely need to add anything to hold a stunning ceremony. That’s my kind of venue, less work – more pretty. I’m sure that a Windmill Gardens Wedding would be completely drop-dead gorgeous, especially in the spring!

Anyways enough about the venue. Can we please talk about Bri and Luis? I mean, they really are the cutest and so, so genuine. These two are happily engaged and getting married this year!! Let’s just say, I’m a little jealous of their wedding photographer! Bri’s hair and makeup was styled by Rachel with a A Wink and a Smile Makeup. She was cracking me up running around during the shoot with a camera. Makeup artist doubling as photographer…pretty sweet deal!!
