This PNW Adventure Elopement could not have been more perfect…or more suited for these two. Kayla + Caleb grew up right down the road from each other, but it wasn’t until Caleb joined the military and moved from their hometown in Michigan to Washington that they began dating. One year later, here we are and I’d say this is just the beginning of a lot more adventures.
As much as Kayla wanted sunshine for their Mt. Rainier elopement, the rain wasn’t going to stop them. She and Caleb were truly living freely in the moment and just so excited to say I do. I may have looked a hot mess shooting with an umbrella, jacket and wet hair but I just loved watching each moment of their intimate wedding day unfold. They picked the most amazing little spots behind their cabin for photos. And something about the rain made for the best day.
Military couples always have a special place in my heart and I couldn’t have been more honored to spend time with them on their special day. Congratulations Kayla + Caleb, you two are truly something special!
Hiking boots with a beautiful gown may just be my favorite bridal combo!
Not every couple chooses to do a first look where they see each other and that is perfectly okay. I still recommend taking a moment to just be with each other. There is something so powerful about the anticipation of what’s to come, and taking the time to connect in some way before walking down the aisle can be really special!
I don’t think these smiles left their faces all day!
