Adventurous PNW Elopement In The Snowy Winter

Filed in: Elopements

Over the last few years, I’ve come to realize that winter elopements are so underrated! Sure, there’s a little weather risk, but also a whole lot of reward when you open your heart to the possibility. And that’s exactly what Molly and Logan did. They wanted an Adventurous PNW Elopement elopement, and I don’t think we could have asked for a more perfect or beautiful day!

I don’t think I ever saw smiles leave their faces. It didn’t matter what the weather was doing or the fact that they were freezing, they were locked in on each other and completely present. They left a lot of the planning and decision-making up to me since they were traveling from Louisiana. After hearing more of their story, I knew I wanted to make sure their day was not only full of adventure but left space for them to just be together- something they truly value.

The PNW: Rattlesnake Lake, Middle Fork, and Mount Si

We ended up having some snow at some of the lower elevation areas. So, instead of potentially getting stuck in The Pass, we explored the North Bend area. Rattlesnake Lake and Middle Fork were covered in snow and could not have been more beautiful. There were times it was coming down pretty heavy, which we didn’t expect. But, when you’re up for an adventure, anything goes, right?

We spent a lot of time in each location, exploring and just taking in the environment around us. Once at Middle Fork, Molly and Logan decided that was the place they would exchange their vows. It was one of the sweetest, most intimate vow and ring exchanges I have witnessed or had the honor of photographing. And to think this trip was originally just a vacation for two people dating turned into a decision to get married! They threw out tradition in exchange for a more intimate setting where it was just the two of them. I’d say this is their best adventure yet and only the beginning!

Congratulations Logan and Molly! Cheers to a lifetime of adventure and bringing balance to each other!

“Logan is one of the most thoughtful people I’ve ever met. She’s always paying attention to every little thing and finding ways to show me just how much she loves me. I think that keeps me falling more in love every single day is how effortless it all feels and the balance we bring to each other. Relationships are absolutely a give and take, but they can’t always be 50/50. Sometimes one of us needs 75% and only has 25% left to give, and there’s never a struggle to satisfy the need. We show up for each other every day, in every situation, with nothing but support and the desire to help.” – Molly

“Loving Molly is the easiest thing in the world. Falling for her was instant for me and continues to grow daily. She makes loving her as natural to me as breathing. We had a tragedy happen with one of our mutual friends that really just kind of solidified our feelings toward each other. Our support for one another early on was very clear. It was shortly after that night that I knew she was someone big for me. It wasn’t anything specific that she did it was just genuinely who she was. I saw her and she saw me. I think that’s rare to truly see and be able to understand someone.” – Logan
