So this Seattle maternity session has a little bit of a story to it! I got to meet this gorgeous momma through my talented photographer friend Laura Ryan! Laura and I were introduced through the Rising Tide Society after I posted saying I was moving cross country and wanted to make some connections. She helped me along the way, tried to get me to move next door to her, then somehow…my husband and I ended up at her house for Thanksgiving dinner after only chatting online. I’m pretty sure they both thought we were crazy. Laura has the most genuine heart and has played a tremendous roll in helping me adjust to Washington living. She has been one of my biggest supporters with launching my business and I’m so happy to call her my friend!
Knowing I wanted to shoot more in this breath-takingly beautiful state, she invited me along to her maternity shoot of another talented photographer friend Tara! The three of us were like high school girls, giggling and prowling through the crowds of tourists at the University of Washington who were all there to see the gorgeous cherry blossoms that were in full bloom. As amazing as they were, the campus has so many beautiful backdrops, we adventured around to get a few different looks for her session. Although I had just met Tara, it felt like taking pictures of a dear friend. At some point I think I had mentioned that it seemed crazy to find so many amazing photographer friends that I just “click” with. Tara + Laura were totally making fun of me for my un-ninja like, awkward legged moves to get the angles I wanted. I had to have been doing something a little crazy for most of these. 😉 I had so much fun with you two…thanks for letting me tag along. I can not wait to meet miss Caliana!!
Miss Caliana was welcomed to the world on April 24th. My talented friend got to capture some in-hospital pictures of all her sweet details. You can see those here: Laura Ryan Photography
Welcome to the blog! I’m a small-town Florida girl and Army wife relocated to the Seattle Suburbs, documenting love from one coast to the other. I live for a good PNW mountain breeze, sweat pants, and local eats. Let's be friends!
