While planning for Hunter and Rey’s Skyline Trail Elopement, I was so excited to find out they would be staying at the Little Owl Cabin. It’s the cutest little cabin just outside of Mount Rainier in Packwood, perfectly situated in the middle of the forest. It’s woodsy and private, making it the perfect location for an intimate first look.
After getting ready, Rey headed outside and shortly after, Hunter followed. The excitement as Hunter turned around to see his soon-to-be-wife for the first time was the first of many times throughout their day I’d be fighting to hold back the tears!
These two, they have a special kind of love. One, they they’d say they knew was that” forever kind of love” from the first time they met.
“In my opinion it was like love at first sight which I never believed in. After that night at the bar, all I did was think about him until he texted me. The first night we hung out after that I knew I wanted to spend everyday forever with him. I’ve never felt that way with anyone before, its hard to explain the feeling. But it still feels like that today.” – Hunter
Tea, vows and a beautiful sunset? Yes, please!
After their first look and some portraits in the forest, we made our way to one the Skyline Trails. It’s one of the trails near the visitor center at Paradise and perfect for couples wanting to explore and find that dreamy ceremony spot. During peak season, it’s lined with wildflowers and of course, stunning views! The Paradise area of Mount Rainier is just one of many top locations to elope at Mt. Rainier National Park.
Once we found our spot, Hunter and Trey enjoyed a cup of tea together and then settled in to exchange their vows. They laughed, shed a few happy tears, and celebrated as they became husband and wife. Being there, witnessing their love, and documenting so they could remember this moment forever was truly an honor.
Hunter and Trey, thank you for inviting me into your love story. Cheers to a lifetime of feeling like you just met for the first time!
If you’re ready to start planning your elopement in Mount Rainier, let’s chat! I’ve spent countless hours photographing couples and adventuring through nearly every trail in Mount Rainier.

Welcome to the blog! I’m a small-town Florida girl and Army wife relocated to the Seattle Suburbs, documenting love from one coast to the other. I live for a good PNW mountain breeze, sweat pants, and local eats. Let's be friends!
