I love connecting with couples that love the outdoors and adventuring as much as I do. Nat, Kymie + I bonded over coffee while chatting about our love for hiking, climbing and all things nature related. I love how cute and quirky these two are and the fact that you can feel the love radiating off of them is every photographer’s dream.

Initially they were unsure about taking engagement photos and decided to move forward with them because of the opportunity engagement sessions present to a couple. Engagement photos are a time to be yourselves, dress like yourselves and take photos in an environment that’s completely inspiring to you without the pressure of a wedding day. It’s not often you can drive hours into the woods to take photos at the spot where you became engaged and we got to do just that! I’m sometimes weary of going into a location “blind” (a.k.a a location that’s known and visited by the couple but not me until the day of the shoot). I always go early in these circumstances to scout out spots with great light but you’re just not certain what the location will have to offer. I was beyond thrilled with their choice and it was quite the challenge to narrow it down all the possibilities!

We laughed and played games and they didn’t decide to ditch me despite all of my craziness during their photo shoot. Sometimes being my goofy self is the best way to get great laughs! And guess what?! TODAY is their wedding day! Can’t wait to see you two in a few hours!
