I am SO excited for Erica + Joe’s wedding!! These two and their blended family are like the real life version of the Brady Bunch and I could not adore it more! I connected with Erica early on and she’s grown to feel like a long time friend whose wedding I couldn’t be more stoked to capture. I haven’t gotten to meet the whole bunch yet but I have high hopes for lots of love and a good wedding day tear or two never hurt anyone! 😉

I’m not gonna lie, Erica and Joe surprised the heck out of me! Erica spent a good amount of time via email and facetime telling me how awkward she was only to be SUPER natural and freaking adorable in front of the camera. Maybe Joe brings it out in her or maybe they’re both professional models but these two and Deception Pass as a backdrop basically made my dreams come true! 😉 I met Erica and Joe at a coffeeshop before their Deception Pass engagement Session to finalize outfits, get some caffeine of course and honestly just chat a bit! I find that couples relax when getting to know you with out a camera in hand and when possible, it’s my favorite addition to the day of their session! We got pretty lucky with the weather and had the most epic day at Deception Pass from full-on sun to cloud with blue waters and rocky shores! Deception Pass is a dream that all who visit Washington should take a trip to see!
