I’ve known Chelsey’s family since I was a little girl so when she reached out and asked if I would travel to Florida for her wedding day, I definitely did a happy dance! I had the honor of photographing her sister’s wedding and it only felt right to be there for her day as well! The Batson’s are known for throwing epic parties and their day was nothing short of that!
The inspiration behind the day was an overall crisp, modern and elegant feel. When I asked Chelsey what made her wedding stand out from the crowd, her response was sourced directly from her venue. “Our venue was extra special because Kristi and Steve Gomen welcomed us into their beautiful home. Kristi’s mom, Mona, and my grandma, Inge, were lifelong friends and the families they created grew up together. The Gomen’s home was everything we wanted in a venue: a ceremony on the water, an indoor bar for the derby, and a massive porch for a cocktail hour and dancing! Most importantly, they are incredibly warm and welcoming people that made us feel completely at home on our wedding day.”
Chelsey + Scott’s were laid back the entire day despite thunderstorms rolling through. I loved watching how Chelsey’s face lit up around Scott and his around hers – especially during their first look. The weather kept us on our toes but it was no match for Cinco de Brozek!
Chelsea and Scott, it was such an honor to celebrate alongside family and friends and I wish you nothing but happiness and fun (with a side of tequila) in your marriage!
Have you ever seen a more stunning bride?!
They’re married!! Whoop whoop!
Ya…that Florida rain is NO joke!
I loved our introductions. It was a great way to get the party started!
“We had the best team of vendors!”
Salon Inxs- Frann Psciuk-Auerbach, owner of Salon Inxs has done my hair since I was 4; we just showed up and let her do her thing. My entire family goes to Fran for their hair, and she makes everyone feel so comfortable and beautiful! Amy Andrews did our make-up and she fit right in too! The make-up was phenominal. Ariels Flowers and Gifts- Dianna, Dee and my mom, Heather adorned the home and backyard with the most beautiful arrangements! I was obsessed with the ceremony Arch! Mom made the Centerpieces. Dianna is incredibly creative and talented at transforming a space, and she also was our day of coordinator. Genius Entertainment- Jarad Bowens get’s the crowd pumped and ensures that the flow of the party is FLAWLESS! We made playlists for different parts of the evening and he delivered! Chef Corwin- BBQ and a late night Taco Bar! It was exactly what we wanted! Byron McCoy- Everyone needs a wedding ringer like my brother-in-law!! When something needed to be done, Byron was our go to guy on the day of the wedding! Spencer Dees- Spencer crafted a perfect personalized ceremony and had us laughing and crying! Megan Montalvo Photography- Thank you for traveling and making us your Florida wedding! We felt so supported having talented, creative women there to capture the big events while also making sure the precious in-between moments were not forgotten.”
