WHO: Taylor + Elias

How cool is it that I get to photograph love all over the country, from the Northwest to the Southeast? I feel like I’m living a dream – one day a Pacific Northwest elopement photographer and the next a St. Augustine elopement and wedding photographer. And sometimes I get lucky enough to photograph a couple in both locations!

I was so excited when Taylor reached out for her wedding day TWICE! My first response to her inquiry went to her spam (seriously my worst nightmare and forever paranoia) but when I saw her name come across a second time, I had to give her a call! Thankfully she still gave me the time of day regardless of technology making me the lucky gal to photograph her DREAM wedding.

I quickly learned that Taylor and Elias were from Washington but currently live in St. Augustine while Elias pursues is doctorate degree. Being from Florida originally but currently living in Washington, I felt like it was meant to be and was eager to meet up with them when I went home to visit family. St. Augustine has always been one of my favorite places in Florida. The downtown area is full of rich history and adorable streets but it’s whimsical trees and beautiful beaches spoke to our hearts a little more! To my surprise, the beach we landed on had some awesome coquina rock basically making my dreams!  Who knows how I lived in Florida my entire life and never ran across it before!

Taylor and Elias, thank you so much for meeting up with me while I was down in Florida. I am so glad we were able to document part of your love story in St. Augustine and I cannot wait for your dreamy wedding in Washington!
