The sweetest newlywed duo there is. I am so humbled by these two and their beautiful wedding. Sometimes clients just feel like old friends and Jacquie and Derek were no exception. I first met Jacquie and Derek over dinner for their consult and knew immediately we would be friends. Derek initially contacted me and I was so impressed to see a groom scoping out options for their wedding photographer. We laughed and chatted and I’m always thrilled when couples come prepared with questions! We then had a fun “briefly” snowy engagement session at Rattle Snake Lake and I got to see just how sweet these two are together! Not to mention, they braved the cold and were even willing to meet me on Christmas Eve for their photoshoot!

On their wedding day, it was no surprise that their family and friends were just as genuinely sweet as they are making the entire day feel relaxed and sentimental. We stated off the day with full sunshine and not a cloud in the sky. Later that evening, the clouds started rolling in leaving us with some beautiful “after light” once the sun set behind the tree line. I even think the sky gave off a slightly purple hue in honor of Jacquie’s wedding colors. Their day was filled with grace, beauty, love and laughter and as I left their reception at the end of the night, I felt at peace and just so happy for them and how their beautiful day turned out. Thank you Jacquelyn + Derek for treating me like family and trusting me to capture your story.
