Just days before celebrating being together for 11 years, Ashley and  Marc said “I do” at Eaglemont Golf Course in Mount Vernon and their wedding day could not have been more perfect. Marc likes to golf at Eaglemont and he and Ashley told me the views were amazing, but even their description didn’t do it justice. The panoramic views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound are breathtaking and the perfect setting for their wedding!

I have photographed a lot of weddings over the years and more often than not there is some inherit stress that comes with the day. Throw in some rain and it’s usually a bit more stressful. But to Mark and Ashley, it didn’t matter. The excitement and joy Ashley and Marc had for getting married outweighed everything. I have never seen a bride more elated on her wedding day and it truly filled me with so much joy to see a smile on Ashley’s face the ENTIRE day.

Congratulations Ashley and Marc! It was an honor to be part of your day! Cheers to a lifetime of excitement and endless laughter! 

One of my favorite parts of the day was Ashley’s first look with her dad. If you are a bride and considering a first look with your family, do it. This was another moment in the day that reminded me of why I do what I do and why it’s important to not get lost in the hustle of the day. Wedding photographs, in some small way, remind us of the raw and honest good that exists in the world like how a father loves his daughter. They tell a truth through a story of images. A truth that at it’s best, shows emotion, love and commitment, family and fun.
