If you’re looking for a unique and intimate way to tie the knot, an elopement at Vantage might be the perfect choice. Nestled in the heart of Central Washington, this small town offers breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and a quiet charm that’s perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony or elopement. It also happens to be one of my favorite locations to elope in Washington!
Vantage is located in a stunning natural setting with views of the Columbia River Gorge, the Cascade Mountains, and miles of rolling hills covered in sagebrush. These stunning vistas provide a picturesque backdrop for an elopement that you and your partner will cherish for a lifetime. Whether you choose to exchange vows at the base of towering basalt cliffs or atop a scenic viewpoint, the natural beauty of Vantage is sure to take your breath away. It’s a rock climbing haven in Washington so if you’re into that – we can definitely add that venture to your day!
Vantage is home to the Ginkgo Petrified Forest State Park, a one-of-a-kind natural park where you can witness petrified wood and other fossils. You can exchange vows among the ancient trees or in the shadow of the park’s interpretive center, which houses some of the most fascinating geological and archaeological discoveries of the region. Additionally, the Vantage area has a few small, intimate wedding venues available. However, booking one isn’t necessary as the surrounding areas offer natural beauty that makes for a stunning backdrop. The Sagecliff Resort and Spa is nearby and one of my favorite luxury resorts offering condors, cliff houses, yurts, airbnbs a spa and more!
If you’re looking for a serene and peaceful wedding, Vantage is the perfect place to elope. This small town has a relaxed and tranquil vibe that’s perfect for an intimate ceremony. With no crowds or onlookers, you can exchange your vows in peace and seclusion, surrounded only by the beauty of nature.
Vantage is also a great location for adventurous couples. In addition to rock climbing, the area offers a variety of activities, from hiking and mountain biking to kayaking and paddle boarding on the nearby Columbia River. After your ceremony, you can take a scenic drive through the stunning Yakima River Canyon or explore the Wanapum Heritage Center, a museum that tells the story of the region’s indigenous people.
Washington’s peak wedding season spans about 3 months during the summer due primarily to weather. Because Vantage is located in Central Washington, it’s a great location with a moderate climate in the early spring and late fall making it the perfect location local to Washington but not during peak season! They receive less rainfall, less crowds and because all of your vendors aren’t slammed, a better availability and savings for you! The fresh sage adds to the perfect ambiance to your day!
