When Chloe and JD reached out about their intimate wedding at The Emerald Forest, I was so excited! This venue is one of my favorite intimate wedding venues in the PNW. The entire day, from start to finish was so beautiful.
Originally Chloe and JD were not going to do a first look, but ended up changing their mind, and I am so glad they did! Couples are sometimes hesitant to do a first look because they think that it will take away from that moment as the bride walks down the aisle. But trust me when I tell you, that’s just not the case. In fact, I think it can only add to your day! Doing a first look is so intimate and truly allows you to take in those first moments together. Stay tuned below for JD’s incredibly sweet reaction.
After a beautiful first look and taking some bride and groom portraits in the middle of the forest, it was time for their ceremony. 30 of their friends and family (and pup, Tobi!) from all across the country traveled to Seattle for their intimate wedding at The Emerald Forest. It may be the only time they ever sit in a swing while watching two people they love exchange vows! Every little detail at this venue has been carefully thought at, making it not only a beautiful venue but a fun experience for everyone.
After their ceremony, Chloe and JD took time to take portraits with their friends and family and then made their way to the cocktail party. There, their guests’ shared memories and toasts and took in the night. The atmosphere here after the sun sets is so calm and romantic. Chloe and JD ended the night with their first dance under the lights. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day or ending!
Chloe and JD’s intimate wedding at The Emerald Forest would not have been possible without their coordinator, Alexa Kroon. Lady Grey Seattle provided the beautiful cake and desserts, and Villanelle Florals made sure that Chloe had the bouquet and ceremony flowers of her dreams!
Welcome to the blog! I’m a small-town Florida girl and Army wife relocated to the Seattle Suburbs, documenting love from one coast to the other. I live for a good PNW mountain breeze, sweat pants, and local eats. Let's be friends!
