Where: Point Defiance Park, Tacoma

As a JBLM family photographer, these three have made a HUGE impact on my heart – more than I could begin to put into words. The army has made us family, something that you really just don’t get unless you’ve lived the military lifestyle. But, we share a bond even greater than that. I got to capture this sweet smiley boy, while he was in his Mama’s tummy. I got to be there for the moment he took his first breath. I got to watch his sweet personality blossom at his 6-month session and I had the honor of capturing their last family photos in the state that they became a family of three in. While this may be our last session for a little while, the Army keeps you close and it’s just a bitter-sweet see ya later for now!

Snacks are always great ideas when it comes to little ones! I love that this mama brought apples – fresh, tasty and most importantly – they don’t stain skin!

Signing was a huge part of year 1 for this little guy and I took this photo before I knew that’s what he was doing. Later his parents mentioned they’d love to capture those little details. It’s always nice when I beat them to the chase!
