If you asked me what I was looking forward to most about Tiffany and Joe’s wedding day at the MV Skansonia, it would have been just seeing the happiness they share and watching their faces light up when they see each other. Tiffany is one of the most thoughtful people and it comes across in every interaction with her. Joe, a little more reserved much like my own husband, is equally as sweet. I loved watching little pieces of his personality show throughout their Rattlesnake Lake engagement session and even more on their wedding day!
MV Skansonia is permanently docked on North Lake Union and the perfect waterfront wedding venue. It’s panoramic views of the Seattle skyline definitely set it apart from other Seattle wedding venues. Most importantly, it was the perfect venue for bringing Tiffany and Joe’s vision to life for their big day! From the bride herself, “The MV Skansonia exceeded our expectations of providing the perfect setting to start our marriage. Our vision was the city, the water and a vintage vibe and all of those things were very evident on our day!”
When I read Tiffany and Joe’s response regarding the favorite parts of their day, I couldn’t help but tear up. Some couples and their weddings just touch your heart and this was definitely one of them. The love these two share is something truly special.
“We have spent the last few days reminiscing and talking about our favorite moments/memories from the day and have found that our favorites are very similar. The first look!! It was such a special moment for both of us! Any nerves settled immediately and complete contentment and happiness were all over our faces! The vows!! They were heartfelt, emotional, funny and a true testament to our love for one another! The moments when it felt like it was just us!! There were many times during the night that we would stare off in one direction together holding on to each other Just taking in the moment we were in. It felt as if we were the only ones on the boat at times and that created memories we will always cherish!”
Congratulations Tiffany + Joe…you two were certainly meant for each other and I’m so happy you went to that Mariner’s game!
“We incorporated small, but meaningful items that added to our special day. A piece of lace from my mother’s wedding dress made by my grandma 35 years ago was added to my bridal bouquet along with a beautiful charm holding a picture of my handsome daddy!”
If we had to give our advice to couples planning their wedding it would be to remember that the day is about the two of you beginning your life together. Steal moments together throughout your wedding day/night. Look across the room at each other and smile, take in your surroundings, give each other a wink! Be completely lost in every part of the day/night, like the first look, the vows, the first dance, the moments it’s just the two of you! Take it all in! The day/night goes fast, but those memories will last a lifetime and you will cherish them forever!
An awesome team of vendors and a little thank you from the bride and groom:
Our DJ, Loren, was so energetic and positive and kept the music and the vibe going all night! Not many people were into dancing mainly because it was warm inside the boat and the view from the bow was just unbelievable and hard to walk away from. He completely understood and just kept doing his thing and giving it 110%! The florals were beautiful, the baked goods were delicious, the night ran so smoothly thanks to the venue coordinator, Finni, and wedding planner, Mychelle! Of course our photographers far exceeded our expectations and I just know we will have photos to cherish for our lifetime together!
