This past summer Heath proposed to Aerial at Snoqulamie Falls and the two fell in love with the PNW.  So much so, they reached out to me looking for a Seattle Elopement Photographer in hopes of coming back out here for their elopement. To say I was excited to get their inquiry would be an understatement! I was instantly drawn to their story, connecting with their love for travel, but mostly their desire to focus on the two of them.

Aerial and Heath, with some of their closest friends and family, flew into Washington and were married at Gold Creek Pond in Snoqualmie, WA. They had me tearing up all through out the morning as they shed sweet tears of happiness for their long awaited day. These two originally met each other around five years ago while in the Navy and connected with one another through their love for music, fitness and dogs. They are out of the military now and excited to start the next chapter of their lives together as a married couple!

Why Elope?

After spending almost six months living and traveling out of a SUV from Key West, FL all the way to Anacortes, WA, Aerial and Heath said their perspective on life really changed. They drove over 15,000 miles, visited 20 states, 10 National Parks, filled with hiking, climbing, camping, and exploring all for around $5,000. One of the ways their perspective changed was in regards to their ideal wedding. From their own words…”We would much rather have a small elopement and use the rest of that money to travel new places and gain new experiences together.” I know I say it all of the time, but if eloping has crossed your mind, even for the most brief of moments, just say YES.

While everyone has a different perspective on marriage and the path their life takes them, I love when couples value and put first gaining new experiences together. Aerial and Heath – I couldn’t have hand picked a more perfect morning. The emotion, environment and time with your family was everything a photographer dreams of and I’m so honored to have been there to capture it!
