Trying to narrow down photos for Conchita + Ethan’s adventure blog is INCREDIBLY difficult. This pretty mama is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and I have been dying to photograph her since the day we met! Her smile is contagious and my wish for her is to always feel as beautiful as her soul truly is. We decided to have a Gold Creek Pond Adventure session so that the photos would in part show their love for the outdoors. These two love to adventure and spend time bonding over hikes and exploring new places. The wild flowers were in bloom and Washington blessed us with a beautiful overcast day (for the most part) I don’t know if maybe Florida OD’d me on sunshine but I am a complete lover of overcast and rainy days. Maybe I’ve been turned into a PNW girl.

Anyways, Conchita’s son Ethan is such a joy to be around with all his expressive “voices” and adorable faces. My favorite was his robot one. 😉 While we were at Gold Creek Pond, Ethan inspired me to discover a new way to get kids to laugh during sessions and even though it makes me seem like a total loon BUT it worked perfectly. His adorable laugh really showed in the photos and I’ve completely come to the conclusion that crazy loon works for me. Want to know my trick? I re-enacted my cat’s “I’m about to cough up a hairball” meow and they both starting dying. From the moment I first “meowed” Ethan and I became friends and the shy version of his personality dissipated and revealed the real Ethan. We collected rocks, flowers and just took in the fresh air and just laughed the day away together. 🙂
