Over the last several decades, Dancing Cedars has become a gathering place for the community. The owners, Pamela and Joe, had their wedding on the property in the 90’s. Since then, the two have worked hard to create a space where all feel welcomed.
I was able to experience their hospitality first hand during Teri and Anthony’s intimate wedding last summer. I fell in love with Dancing Cedars and cannot wait to go back! Who wants to join me?
Dancing Cedars venue is perfect for intimate weddings and elopements and one of the best parts…it’s right in Olympia! The venue offers both indoor and outdoor options for your ceremony and reception. With a guest limit of 50 people (pre-covid), you can be confident your guests will be well taken care of!
You have the option to work with vendors (including caterers) of your choice. Honestly, this venue is a perfect Covid pivot for those still wanting to celebrate with a few family members or friends but have an all-inclusive easy to access location.
My recommendation? Get ready here with a handful of family/friends, get married, have a mini reception and some time for some stunning portraits! This is the perfect intimate location for a low-key day.
One of my favorite parts about Dancing Cedars is all of the little hidden paths and areas beneath the trees. You’re literally surrounded by greenery and flowers, giving a variety of opportunities for photos! This little path was perfect for a first look – allowing for plenty of light while also feeling very intimate.
The outdoor ceremony site is simple, yet stunning. I know we can sometimes get wrapped up in all of the details, but there truly is a lot of beauty in simplicity. If you’re still trying to decide if an intimate wedding is right for you, check out our blog “5 Reasons To Elope or Have an Intimate Wedding.”
After your ceremony, enjoy your outdoor reception, followed by a bonfire and smores. What more could you ask for?!
After celebrating with your guests, we will take another opportunity to explore the grounds together for sunset photos (weather and season permitting). I find that my couples really enjoy sneaking away from their guests for just a few minutes! By this time most couples are more comfortable in front of the camera, and these are often my favorite photos!
